exas Speed's L92 VVT truck camshafts are the result of endless engine dyno testing on their SuperFlow 902 engine dyno using a factory GM L92 engine with factory cylinder heads. The L92 Stage 3 camshaft will be a great choice for those looking to make maximum power while still being able to daily drive your truck/suv.

exas Speed's L92 VVT truck camshafts are the result of endless engine dyno testing on their SuperFlow 902 engine dyno using a factory GM L92 engine with factory cylinder heads. The L92 Stage 3 camshaft will be a great choice for those looking to make maximum power while still being able to daily drive your truck/suv.

This camshaft will have an aggressive lope at idle and require a 3000+rpm torque converter for optimum performance and drivability. The "L92" series of VVT grinds are also a great choice for owners of 2010-2013 5.3L truck/suv engines that want to retain the factory VVT system for a broad powerband.

Each L92 camshaft Texas Speed offers will require the use of a phaser limiter kit. The phaser limiter restricts the range of cam timing movement from 50° to 20°. This modification provides the necessary valve clearance for serious performance camshafts with tighter lobe separations – while still utilizing the benefits of the VVT technology.

Please note:

  • That GM used a different cam phaser in the 2007 and some 2008 trucks vs the 2009+ trucks

  • Our TSP camshafts are designed to use GM cam phaser # 12606358, which was used in some 2008 and all 2009+ trucks

  • If you have a 2007 or early 2008 truck/SUV, you will need cam phaser # 12606358

  • If you have a 2008 truck and are unsure as to which cam phaser you have, you will need to read the part number off of the cam phaser to verify which one you have
